Notification Settings

Choose how each kind of notice reaches you — email, push or in-app — turn on push notifications on the partner app and understand which booking notices are sent.

Where to Find Them

Open Settings and choose Notifications. The screen holds the Push Notifications switch, Notification Preferences for every category, Quiet Hours, and the reminder settings.

Notification Preferences

Each category — bookings, approval requests, reminders, account and security notices among them — can be delivered over any mix of three channels:

  • Email: a message to your inbox.
  • Push: an alert on your phone or browser, even when EasyBook is closed.
  • In-App: an entry in the Notifications list with a badge.

Quiet Hours pause non-essential notices for the times you set. Security Alerts and Account Notifications always deliver, whatever the preferences say.

Push Notifications on the Partner App

Shortly after you sign in, the app asks once per session to Turn on notifications, so you are told when an appointment is booked, changed or cancelled even when EasyBook is closed. A new owner is asked once business setup is finished. Choose Turn on. If you chose Not now, enable it later:

  1. Open Settings, then Notifications.
  2. Turn on Push Notifications — Receive alerts on your device.
  3. Under Notification Preferences, tick Push for the categories you want on your phone.

Push works on the iOS and Android apps and in supported browsers; elsewhere the app tells you push notifications are not supported. If you refused the permission on the phone itself you will see Notification permission denied — re-enable EasyBook in your phone's notification settings. A push is sent for:

  • Bookings made, changed or cancelled.
  • Approval Requests — a booking waiting for your yes, a class reservation, a pass request or a membership request.
  • Reminders ahead of appointments, per your Reminder Lead Time.
  • Security alerts.

Tapping a notification opens the relevant screen and marks it read. A request that needs your answer carries Approve and Decline buttons, so you can answer it straight from the notification, and a notification can show an image. On Android, EasyBook sorts its notifications into four channels — Security, Bookings, Payments, and Updates and offers — so you can choose in your phone's settings which ones make a sound. A phone with both EasyBook apps installed receives business notices only in the partner app, and signing out releases the device so it stops receiving them. The prompt is not shown when you open the business tools from inside the customer app — open the partner app itself.

Reminders

Reminder Lead Time sets how far ahead of an appointment you and your team are reminded, and the Appointment Reminders preference chooses the channels. Personal events carry their own reminders, set on the event — see the Time blocks & closures page.

Business Booking Notices

Notices about class bookings and requests go to everyone who can answer them — Owners, Admins and Receptionists — and to the session's instructor, not only to the assigned professional. They come in two kinds:

  • Needs a decision: a class reservation awaiting approval, a pass request or a membership request arrives as an Approval Request by email, in-app and push, at high priority. Tapping a pass request opens the Passes requests queue; a class notice refreshes the calendar and roster.
  • Needs no decision: a confirmed class seat or a withdrawn request is Booking Activity and only raises the in-app badge — deliberately, so a busy studio is not emailed forty times a day.

If booking activity never reaches your inbox, that is why: it is in-app only. The Requests desk page shows where each kind of request is answered.

Weekly Recap

Owners and Admins receive a Weekly Recap email every Tuesday summarising the previous week. Turn it on or off in the same preferences; the Weekly Recap page explains what it contains.
