New Features

Payments and Discounts

Everything a client still owes is now one list, and the actions you need are on the row: take the payment, give a discount, or write the charge off. A discount works the same way wherever you give one.

  • Outstanding is a single table of what is owed — due date, client, what the charge is for, any discount and the amount left — with overdue rows flagged and filters for overdue only and for charges with no client named
  • One discount dialog covers a booking, a single line on an invoice and a seat on a class roster: a percentage or a fixed amount, always with a reason, for Owners and Admins
  • A discount can be given while you take the booking, not only afterwards
  • A class roster shows what each seat owes or how it was settled, and the header carries the total still owed across the session

Bookings and Guests

A booking now tells you the whole story, money included, and guest numbers follow what the service can actually seat.

  • Booking detail shows the list price, any discount and the reason it was given, what has been paid, what is still owed, and a note when the balance is assumed to be settled in cash
  • A service priced for more than one person is charged once for the whole booking rather than per seat — a couples massage costs the same whether both seats are named or one is left open
  • Guests are added up to the number of seats the service has; the free-text party size field is gone
  • A booking made without a named guest keeps track of what is owed for class and series bookings too, not only for walk-ins

Reviews

Reviews have their own place in the main menu and a new help page, and a business can no longer make a bad review disappear.

  • Approving and rejecting reviews are replaced by disputing one: you tell EasyBook what is wrong with a review and we look into it, so a genuine negative review stays where the customer left it
  • A reply is signed with the name of the team member who wrote it, so your team can always see who answered
  • Filter the list by rating, venue, professional, date or whether a review is still awaiting a reply
  • A professional working at two businesses carries a separate rating at each, built from the visits they served there

Calendars You Already Keep

Events mirrored from Google, Apple and Outlook stop being dead blocks on the grid, and connecting a calendar asks for less.

  • Click one of your own mirrored events to read its title, times, location, meeting link, organiser and guest count without leaving EasyBook, and open it at the provider when you need to
  • Your own private events are visible to you again; a colleague's mirrored event still shows only that they are busy
  • Connecting Google Calendar asks for the narrowest permissions it needs, and nothing more

Venue Reports

The Venues report runs on one date range you choose, so every section is answering the same question.

  • Pick the period once and the whole report follows it; the fixed Today, This Week, This Month and This Year buttons are gone
  • A service booked during the period is listed even when it earned nothing, so work given away is still visible

Improvements

  • A client you have restricted is turned away when the price is quoted rather than at the last step of a booking, and your passes and membership plans are unavailable to them as well
  • Money owed is read from one list with the actions on the row, instead of opening each client to find it
  • Every discount records why it was given, and the reason travels with the booking and the charge
  • Reviews are read by venue or by team member, and the dashboard says how many are still awaiting a reply

Bug Fixes

  • Disconnecting Google Calendar no longer disconnects your Google contacts at the same time
  • A calendar connection missing a permission it needs is refused straight away with a clear reason, instead of half working
  • A private event mirrored from your own calendar is no longer hidden from you
  • The number of guests on an appointment can no longer exceed the seats the service actually has
