New Features

Public Profiles for Your Team

Everyone clients can book can now have a public page of their own, so clients can find them by name and book them directly.

  • In Settings › Account, fill in your Public profile: a headline, a bio, your specialties, the languages you speak and your years of experience.
  • Choose a username for your page address: lowercase letters, numbers, dots, underscores and hyphens, up to 30 characters. You can change it once every 30 days.
  • Turn on the Public profile switch and confirm with Make public. Your page is live while you are bookable at a published venue, and turning the switch off takes it down straight away.
  • On the booking site and in the EasyBook app, your page lists the venues where you work, and clients book you there without leaving it.
  • Your photo and cover appear wherever your name does; remove your photo if you would rather not show one.

Bookable Team Members, Their Own Services and Classes

Decide who clients can book, and let each team member look after their own services and class times.

  • Owners and admins have a Bookable switch for each team member and on the invite form. A team member who is not bookable cannot be booked online and leaves the venue's public page, but keeps their existing appointments.
  • When you invite someone, copy the venue's services and classes to them in one step.
  • Team members can take services off their own list, while adding services stays with managers, and a team member's services show Classes separately from Services.
  • Instructors open My classes to add, edit, pause and resume their own class times. Changing the class itself, such as its name, price or places, stays with managers.
  • Show only your own bookings with Only me in the calendar filters and on the dashboard, and only your own venues with Mine.

Setup Cards on the Dashboard

The setup checklist on the dashboard is replaced by two cards that follow what is actually done.

  • Set up your business covers your venue, categories, services, booking policy, team and publishing.
  • Set up your profile, for everyone clients can book, covers your working hours, what you deliver, your classes and your public page.
  • Items tick themselves off as you go, so a business that is already set up sees them done, and you can dismiss a card once you no longer need it.
  • A venue can be published once clients can book something there: a service with a bookable team member who has working hours at the venue, or a class with an upcoming session. A cover photo is recommended rather than required.

Calendar Blocks and Repeating Events

Blocks and personal events are easier to manage, including on a colleague's calendar.

  • Block time on a colleague's calendar when you are allowed to book for them.
  • Saving a block over existing appointments tells you how many it overlaps. The appointments stay booked, and Save anyway keeps the block.
  • A block can run longer than 8 hours and across several days, and one that ends on a later day shows its end date.
  • End a running block or personal event with End now; for a repeating one, end just this occurrence or stop the whole series.
  • Edit a repeating block or personal event for This occurrence, This and following, or All occurrences, and cancel it for This occurrence, This and following, or the Entire series; earlier occurrences stay as they were.

Notifications You Can Act On

Push notifications carry more, and you can act on them without opening the app.

  • Approve or decline a request straight from the notification on your phone.
  • On Android, EasyBook notifications are grouped into Security, Bookings, Payments, and Updates and offers, so you can choose which ones you hear in your phone's settings.
  • Notifications can show an image, and approving a sign-in works even when the app is closed.
  • Booking emails and notifications give times, subjects and cancellation terms in the recipient's language, and a late cancellation fee shows the amount actually charged.

A Redesigned Venue Page on Phones

On the booking site and in the EasyBook app, a venue's page is easier to use on a phone.

  • Search the venue's services from the top bar, and find Save, Share, Location & hours and Booking terms under More options.
  • The category tabs stay at the top as you scroll, and All categories lists every category at once.
  • Location opens a sheet with the distance, Copy address, and Directions in your maps app.
  • Opening times name the day, such as Opens tomorrow, and say which city's time they are in.

Improvements

  • If you sign up with Apple or Google and your name is not shared, EasyBook asks for your first and last name. You need it to book or to publish, and you can still see and cancel your existing bookings in the meantime.
  • Sign in with Apple now works in the partner app on Android.
  • Updates to our terms and policies appear as a notice you close with Got it, instead of a box to tick.
  • A class or session run by several team members counts toward each of them in appointment counts, while its revenue stays with the lead team member.
  • Notification settings offer email, in-app and push; the text message and WhatsApp options are gone.
  • On the booking site's map, switching category keeps the map in place, and the map follows the venue you swipe to.
  • Moving between dates on the calendar with a swipe, the arrows or Today is quicker.
  • On Android, the EasyBook app is now called EasyBook AI on your home screen, and phones with navigation buttons get a button bar that matches the app.

Bug Fixes

  • Clearing a social link on your profile now removes it.
  • A venue's page no longer lists a team member as teaching a class they are not scheduled for.
  • Some team members were refused actions their role allows; those actions now go through.
  • A new owner's security and notification prompts now wait until business setup is finished.
