Spaces
Set up the rooms, courts and booths your bookings use so two appointments never end up in the same room.

What Spaces Are
A space is a room, court or booth that a booking can take. Spaces belong to a kind of space — a group of spaces a service can ask for, shared across your venues, such as Treatment room or Studio. When a service asks for a kind of space, EasyBook makes sure two bookings never get the same room at the same time.
Where to Find Them
Open Settings and choose Spaces. This organization-wide hub lists every space with its kind, venue, capacity and status, and has two tabs: Spaces and Kinds of space. Each venue also has its own Spaces at that venue section. Use the search box and the Venue, Kind and Status filters to narrow the list. Owners and Admins manage spaces.
Adding Spaces
- Choose Add spaces.
- Pick an existing kind, or create a new one with a name and a description.
- Name the space, for example Studio 1. Two spaces cannot share a name.
- Set the quantity to add several at once, and the capacity — how many people each one holds.
- Choose the venues where these spaces exist and save.
Closing, Opening and Removing
Every space is In service, Closed or Archived. Closing a space stops it taking bookings while it is closed; bookings already in it stay as they are. Choose Open to make it bookable again. A restored space comes back closed, so open it when it is ready.
Removing a space that has never been booked deletes it for good. Otherwise it is archived: it leaves the venue, its bookings keep their history, and if it was the last of its kind at that venue, the venue stops being limited by that kind at all.
Assigning Spaces to Services and Classes
On a service form, the Occupies setting names the kind of space a booking of that service takes; choose Nothing in particular to clear it. If the service allows a party of more than one, A party takes lets you decide whether the group shares one space or takes one each. Classes carry the same setting. On any appointment, the Space section lets you give or change the spaces the booking takes.
What Happens at Booking Time
When no suitable space is free, the booking is refused with a clear message:
- All the spaces this service needs are taken at this time — pick another time.
- No space at this venue is big enough for this many people — another time will not help; reduce the party or add a bigger space.
- That space is already booked at this time — choose a different space on the appointment.
Tips and Gotchas
- Closing the last open space of a kind at a venue stops that kind taking bookings there; archiving the last one removes the limit entirely, so bookings that ask for one pass without limit.
- Deleting a kind of space only works when no venue has one left, and it removes the setting from every service that asked for it.
- Spaces are not shown to customers yet — they only govern availability behind the scenes.
