Role Hierarchy

EasyBook uses an 8-tier role hierarchy to manage permissions and access control. Understanding this hierarchy helps you assign appropriate roles to team members.

The 8 Roles

1. Owner (Tier 1)

The highest level with complete control:

  • Full access to all features
  • Can delete the organization
  • Can transfer ownership
  • Cannot be removed by others

2. Admin (Tier 2)

Comprehensive management access:

  • All operational features
  • Team management
  • Settings configuration
  • Financial access

3. Venue Manager (Tier 3)

Manages specific venue operations:

  • Full control over assigned venues
  • Staff scheduling at their venues
  • Venue-specific settings
  • Local reporting

4. Assistant Manager (Tier 4)

Supports managers with limited authority:

  • Day-to-day operations
  • Limited team management
  • Cannot modify core settings

5. Supervisor (Tier 5)

Oversees team activities:

  • Monitor team performance
  • Approve certain actions
  • Handle escalations

6. Professional (Tier 6)

Service providers with their own schedule:

  • Manage own calendar
  • View assigned appointments
  • Access client information for their appointments

7. Receptionist (Tier 7)

Front desk and booking management:

  • Create and manage appointments
  • Client check-in/check-out
  • Basic client management

8. Staff (Tier 8)

Basic operational access:

  • View schedules
  • Basic task completion
  • Limited system access

Permission Inheritance

Higher roles inherit all permissions from lower roles. An Admin has all Professional permissions plus additional administrative capabilities.
